‘Game-changing’ parking hack on TikTok shows we’ve been doing it all wrong for years
One driver shared a game-changing hack that shows we’ve all used parking lots the wrong way – and this simple trick will help everyone.
TikTok user bigbruva_77 posted a video of the technique with her 200 followers, and in the first nine hours it garnered over 440,000 views and dozens of comments.
During the footage, the man describes how he picked up a vehicle from a General Motors parking lot in America and was amazed at the way the cars were stored, the Mirror reports.
Each vehicle was parked in the left row of the parking space, leaving enough space on either side for the doors to open, preventing unnecessary bumps and parking problems.

In the video, the man said: “What if I told all of you that we parked in the wrong parking lots all the time.
âThat’s where we pick up the GM trucks, look how they’re parked – they’re parked on the line. See how evenly spaced they are?
âImagine if everyone at Walmart parked on the line, it would reduce the number of hits and give you room to get in and out of your car.
“We’ve done it wrong all the time, all of you.”
About 700 users flocked to TikTok to comment on their opinion after the images were posted – one user said the technique made spaces appear twice as large.
But others claimed the plan was far from perfect, with one adding, âYou can’t even park inside the lines, you expect them to park on it. ?
And another wrote, “I mean it’s the same as if everyone parked in the middle, the general public is just bad at parking no matter what the standard.”
