Jaguar I-Pace Electric Car Price in India 2021 – Pictures, Mileage & Reviews

The highly anticipated Jaguar I-Pace electric SUV was finally launched in India, as the brand’s first all-electric offering. I-Pace prices start from Rs 1.05 crore for the S trim, with the SE trim priced at Rs 1.08 crore, and go up to Rs 1.12 crore for the top HSE trim range. The company offers 8 year / 1.60 lakh km battery warranty, 5 year service plan, 5 year roadside assistance and 7.4kW AC wall charger.

The I-Pace marks a new direction for the automaker, which recently announced its intention to go all-electric by 2025. The new I-Pace is also the second electric SUV to go on sale in the space of luxury and will compete with the Mercedes-Benz EQC as well as the upcoming Tesla Model X.

The Jaguar I-Pace is available in three trim levels, but in a single-specification variant. The I-Pace EV 400 is powered by two electric motors, one on each axle, and they have a combined power of 394 hp and 696 Nm. The 0-100 km / h is achievable in 4.8 seconds while the speed peak is 200 mph. The battery is mounted centrally on the floor, which allows for a lower center of gravity with a 50:50 weight distribution. The electric SUV is also equipped as standard with all-wheel drive in all variants.

As for range, Jaguar claims the I-Pace can travel 470 km (WLTP cycle) on a single charge from a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery. However, in more real-life conditions, the range would be between 300 and 400 km on a single charge. The SUV also features Eco mode and brake regeneration to improve range, while the design is extremely aerodynamic with a coefficient of 0.29 cd to minimize drag. For added peace of mind, the battery is guaranteed for 8 years / 160,000 km.

The Jaguar I-Pace comes with an 11kW three-phase on-board charger, while the car can charge up to 100kW DC at fast-charging stations as soon as they become available in India. At present, the automaker is setting up charging stations at its dealerships and service centers across India to assist customers.

The electric SUV comes with several cool elements, including the Matrix LED headlights, the signature pattern on the LED taillights, the large 19-inch alloy rims as standard on all variants in India and the black glass roof which brings a nice contrast. . With the conventional engine missing, the front cover gives way to the frunk, where you store the on-board charger.

The interior is equally upscale and sporty on the Jaguar I-Pace. The model is packed with features like a digital instrument console, a Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system with OTA updates, Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto App, a second screen for air conditioning and more. The car also benefits from wireless charging and leather upholstery for the seats with a plethora of choices. The cabin is a five-seater, which also makes it extremely practical. In addition, the trunk capacity rises to 656 liters (wet), rising to 1,453 liters with the rear seats folded down.

The I-Pace also comes with several aids, including active suspension with adaptive dynamics, air suspension that increases ground clearance up to 230mm, 3D surround camera, adaptive cruise control, protection against recoil, drag torque control, ABS with EBD, etc. . The highlight remains the Deployable Pedestrian Safety System with External Public Address System (ESS) that will produce external acoustic sound to help pedestrians become aware of the otherwise silent car at speeds below 20 km / h.
