ParkVia wins new parking contract at Dortmund Airport
UK/GERMANY. Airport parking aggregator ParkVia has beaten competition from three other bidders to win a tender for car parking at Dortmund Airport.
The initial agreement allows ParkVia’s customer base – which exceeds four million people – to reserve multi-storey and outdoor parking spaces in the growing travel hub.
The deal will also see Dortmund Airport parking spaces published on the websites of ParkVia partners, including Wizz Air. This allows the airport to secure parking reservations at the same time as the customer books their flights.
Excluding Dortmund airport aviation Regional Manager Jörg Adolphs said, “This new digital shopping path further enhances the experience for our passengers by allowing them to book on the platform of their choice at a time that suits them.”
He added, “The ability to integrate with airlines increases booking times, allowing us to better manage the monetization of our parking service.”
Ilaria Vacca, Head of Strategic Accounts at ParkVia, said: “Dortmund Airport is an important part of North Rhine-Westphalia’s infrastructure and we are delighted to have won this tender. We hope this new collaboration will enhance the already excellent airport experience by allowing passengers to plan more of their trip in advance.
