Where to find car parts around dirty docks

Fortnite has a bunch of new live challenges today here in Chapter 5, Week 2 for its… somewhat convoluted new system that makes each week’s challenges progressive, rather than having access to all of them at once.

One of the first this week is finding car parts on the map, and these can’t be found just by hacking cars, they are specialized items that you need to find on the map.

There are a lot of guides that were created early on that seem to say car parts are those weird sci-fi items you find in Hunter’s Haven. This is not true. These articles will not earn you anything and they are not there. The parts of the car are actually in Dirty Docks and in a Junkyard just outside.

Go here to see where to find clues. Go here to see where to plant evidence.

There are three places for these auto parts and man, they’re not easy to find. Here’s where they are on the map so you can start with a general idea of their location:

There are two in the Nameless Junkyard outside of Dirty Docks, then one in a top secret location in Dirty Docks itself that would take you forever to find on your own.

The first dump is next to a giant orange machine

The second junkyard is on the corner of the side with a chain link fence.

The one from Dirty Docks is inside that barely opened storage container, not in any of the actual buildings that I spent about 40 minutes exploring before giving up.

These are the three you need and the next step in this challenge will be to deliver a vehicle from Steamy Stacks to Pleasant Park.

I have done a lot of “finding things” challenges in my day, but locating that third car part in Dirty Docks is one of the hardest things I have tried to find, namely because the area is so large and the object just looks like a random piece of junk that’s easy to miss. Plus, you have to fight off all the other people who naturally land on it or are also looking for it while you are doing it. So I hope this guide helped you avoid this mess and you can get in and out.

These challenges get pretty tough, but that’s what I love to see, so more of them please, Epic. I wish they weren’t progressive so we could see what they all are at once, but whatever. See you there, have mercy on the people in the Docks, they’re just trying to find parts.
